ABA THERAPY

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that helps children build meaningful skills — communication, social interaction, self-care, and learning readiness — while reducing behaviors that interfere with daily life. ABA works by breaking complex skills into smaller, teachable steps and using structured teaching strategies, positive reinforcement, and consistent practice to help children learn at their own pace.

At BFC, ABA Therapy is never a one-size-fits-all program. Every plan begins with a thorough assessment of your child’s strengths, needs, and family priorities, conducted by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). From there, a customized treatment plan is developed and carried out by trained behavior technicians, with the BCBA providing ongoing supervision and adjusting the plan based on real progress data. Because ABA at BFC is delivered as part of a Group Practice, it doesn’t stand alone — it’s coordinated with Speech and Occupational Therapy goals, so your child receives one connected plan instead of fragmented, disconnected care.

Benefits of ABA Therapy

  • Builds functional communication skills, helping children express needs, wants, and feelings more effectively
  • Strengthens social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, and engaging with peers
  • Reduces behaviors that interfere with learning, safety, or daily routines
  • Develops independence in daily living tasks like dressing, hygiene, and mealtime routines
  • Improves the ability to follow instructions and participate in structured learning environments
  • Provides parents and caregivers with practical strategies to support progress at home

How BFC Excels in ABA Therapy

BFC’s ABA Therapy is led by Board Certified Behavior Analysts who design individualized treatment plans rooted in your child’s actual needs — not a generic template. Our behavior technicians are trained and directly supervised, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery of every session. Because ABA Therapy is part of our coordinated Group Practice, your child’s BCBA actively collaborates with our Speech and Occupational Therapy teams, so progress in one area reinforces progress in another. We also prioritize family involvement, training caregivers on the same strategies used in therapy so skills carry over into everyday life — not just clinic sessions.
